The sand dredger machines we supply are available in both self-propelled and non-self-propelled types, featuring a portable cutter dredger machine design. The hull adopts a detachable box-like structure, which allows for easy on-site assembly and flexible transportation by road, railway or container. This structural design not only simplifies the installation process but also facilitates the relocation of the equipment between different work sites. According to customers’ specific operational needs, the power system can be configured as either an electric system or a diesel engine-driven system. The key equipment installed on the sand dredger machine includes: traversing device, cutter ladder lifting device, spuds and deck crane. Its working process is as follows: the cutter head cuts underwater sand and mud into a slurry mixture, which is then pumped through the dredging pump to the pipeline on the sand dredger machine; finally, the slurry is discharged to the required on-land location via the on-board pipeline.

Design

Cummins Engine

Each sand dredger machine is equipped with the world-famous and high-performance Cummins engine. This engine is widely recognized for its strong durability, low fuel consumption, standardized spare parts and simple maintenance, providing stable and reliable power support for the long-term continuous operation of the sand dredger machine.

Hydraulic system

The hydraulic system is one of the most critical components of both the sand dredger machine and the wheel bucket dredger, with extremely strict performance requirements—it serves as the core "artery" that ensures the normal operation of the entire dredger. The lateral traction winches, lifting winch and cutter head of the dredgers are all driven by hydraulic motors, which guarantees stable, efficient and smooth operation.

A complete hydraulic system is composed of hydraulic oil tanks, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic valve manifolds, solenoid valves, hydraulic pipelines, hydraulic components, electrical actuators and other essential parts, all working together to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the entire hydraulic system.

Detachable Structure

The sand dredger machine adopts a detachable structure, which greatly simplifies transportation during delivery or when moving the equipment from one working site to another. This design effectively reduces transportation costs and improves overall work efficiency, especially for long-distance transportation.

Shijiazhuang Pump

The flow passage components of the pump are made of high-wear-resistant Cr27 alloy, which significantly extends the service life of the pump, even when handling abrasive sand. The pump shaft seal uses a packing seal design for easy maintenance, and the anti-friction bearings are sourced from the well-known Japanese brand NSK, ensuring the pump’s stable performance and long service life.

Cutter head

Each cutter head is equipped with 5 blades, and 8 teeth are installed on each blade. High-chromium material is used to make the cutter head, which provides excellent wear resistance to cope with the abrasive nature of sand during dredging operations.

The cutter head is driven by a hydraulic motor, and the cutter bearing is equipped with a lubrication and sealing unit. This unit effectively prevents sediment from entering the bearing, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the cutter head.

Pipes and Floaters

The sand dredger machine is equipped with dedicated pipelines for solid material discharging. These pipelines usually consist of three parts: pipes, floaters and rubber hoses, which are specially designed to adapt to various dredging working conditions.

There are three types of pipes available for customers to choose from according to the type of solid material to be discharged: steel pipes, HDPE pipes and self-floating pipes, each with unique advantages to meet diverse operational needs.

Customers have the option to purchase pipes either independently or from our company. If customers have special requirements for the pipelines, we can provide customized pipeline solutions according to their specific needs.

Regarding shipping packaging: the pipelines will be shipped in 40" HQ containers to ensure safe transportation and avoid damage during long-distance shipping.

Kind reminder: customers are advised to purchase additional pipelines as spares to avoid operational delays caused by pipeline damage or wear during sand dredging operations.
